I will demystify this topic in three consecutive posts as beneath
- What Is a Mystery in the New Testament
- The Two Great Mysteries of Christmas
- What is the meaning of Christmas to us
- What Is a Mystery in the New Testament?
Mystery means the unrevealed, in other words, has not yet been made known to us.
“Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.” 1 John 3:2
1 Cor 13:9 says “For we know in part and we prophesy in part,” and verse 12 of the same chapter says “For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.”
These are powerful, and they revealed the true meaning of mystery i.e from the Greek, mysterion, meaning “secret rite and truths”.
There is a lot we do not know, it takes only God through the beautiful and powerful Holy Spirit who can reveal to our hearts the deep mysteries of God the father.
In the next post, I will share “The Two Great Mysteries of Christmas“. I pray may the Lord Jesus Christ whom I serve enlightens your understanding to know him more. Amen.
