Our Hope Is Confirmed

Scripture says, “But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.” ( 1 Cor 15: 20 )

Our opening scripture is powerful. Indeed, King Jesus had risen from the dead. My question to you is.

What is life without hope?

It’s bizarre that life without hope is worthless. Our hope as believers must be grounded upon something. A song from a songwriter goes like this

“My hope is built on nothing less

Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness

I dare not trust the sweetest frame

But wholly lean on Jesus’ name

On Christ the solid rock I stand

All other ground is sinking sand

All other ground is sinking sand”

Where is your hope base upon?

  • Do you rely on your understanding? OR
  • Do you seek or inquiries from our Lord Jesus for spiritual understanding?

Always and learn to seek the Lord with all your heart. ( Proverbs 3:5 )

Our hope should not involve only this life, but also the life that follows death (1 Cor 15: 19). “If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.”

As believers in Christ Jesus, If all we hope only for what death will eventually terminate, this means that we are more miserable than all men. We must have hope beyond the grave.

I pray for you, may the Lord Jesus Christ, who was, and who is, and who is to come enlighten your mind. Amen
