Christ’s resurrection is the foundation of our hope. When our Lord Jesus was resurrected he appeared to Peter and then to the Twelve apostles. Paul the Apostle gave historical proof of King Jesus’ physical resurrection in (1 Cor 15: 4 -11).
In verse 8 “And last of all he appeared to me also”. This appearance happened 4-7 years after Jesus’ Crucifixion when he was on his way to Damascus “road to Damascus” to persecute those following the WAY.
Resurrection is possible because Christ has been raised and he became “the firstfruits of those believers who have died” (1 Cor 15: 20). That’s our only hope. “For the Lord, himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
Please do not miss this because of temporary pleasures in the earth realm. No one can tell when the end will come. From the look of things in our world, we are certainly in the last days. Forbearance is what we all need these days which is one of the fruits of the spirit of God. Our preaching and faith would have been hopeless supposing Christ did not resurrect. Because King Jesus Christ resurrected those our loves once and relative who has fallen asleep in Christ are not lost.
