The prevailing philosophy that believers in Christ Jesus should be healthy and wealthy is totally erroneous. King Jesus said, “I have said all these things to you so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble: but take heart! I have overcome the world” John 16:33.
In as much we are in this world, without doubt, trouble is inevitable. The trouble here could mean several areas in life. Poor Lazarus in the bible was truly a believer despite his sickness, suffering, and poverty. We read when he dies, angels carried his soul to paradise or to Abraham’s Bosom. A Christian has peace, not because of health and abundance, but because of Jesus.
Hence, those spreading healthy and wealth are a must to have for all believers is busy triggering confusion. A high percentage of unbelievers who are lured with prosperity gospels are not a believer anymore because things do not go as they expected.
I pray may who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty Jesus who had overcome this world be with you always AMEN.
